Does your child dream of performing on Broadway one day? Let them take the stage at NTSA’s Day Camp! Your child will discover what happens both onstage and behind-the-scenes with classes in:

  • Acting
  • Singing
  • Dancing
  • Improvisation
  • Playwriting
  • Design (sets, costumes, lighting, and sound)

Whether it’s learning how to apply theatrical fantasy make-up, digging into a dramatic two-person scene, or mastering the choreography from a Broadway musical, your student will spend her summer doing everything that she loves most — and finding new passions to explore after the program ends! Join your child at the end of the day on Friday as he shares some of what he’s learned at a special showcase. Classes meet Monday to Friday from 9 AM until 4 PM on Daemen College’s campus.

Classes are primarily taught by NTSA Executive Director Victoria Chatfield who has previously collaborated with the National Theatre of Scotland, the UK’s National Youth Music Theatre, and the Educational Theatre Association. She has been producing theatrical works off-Broadway since 2012 and has been teaching in NYC public and charter schools for the past decade. She’ll be assisted by some of NTSA’s top-performing company members from across the country.

Lunch is included for all children, and breakfast is included for children enrolled in AM Extended Day. All meals are specifically catered to each child's needs by an outside catering company, licensed by the NYS Department of Health.

EXTENDED DAY

Your student can enjoy even more theatre-based activities in AM extended day (7:30-9 AM) or PM extended day (4-6 PM). Extended day is $50 per week for either AM/PM or $80 per day for both. If you won't need AM/PM Extended Day for the entire week, your student can "drop-in" on a daily basis. ("Drop-in's" must be paid in cash at the time the student is dropped off or picked up.) Families will be charged $1 per minute for every minute after 6 PM. Extended Day activities include low-key theatre games, theatre design arts and crafts, playwriting activities, and much more.

There is a fifteen-minute window at the start and end of each day. If your student is at camp before 8:45 AM or after 4:15 PM, there will be a "drop-in" charge that must be paid in cash at the time the student is dropped off or picked up.

SINGLE CAMP DAYS

Want to give your child a “taster” of what theatre camp has to offer? Do you only need camp for a few days before you leave for vacation? Contact NTSA directly and book single camp days for only $40 per day.
